Administrator: Bob Hayes

Bob Hayes has spent more than 35 years involved with the acute and long term health care needs of the communities served by Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center. He began his career as an administrator at the Malden Hospital. As part of his responsibilities, he was involved in the planning and construction of Glen Ridge in 1989, and has now returned as the administrator. Bob earned his Bachelors Degree and his MBA from Suffolk University in Boston. After spending many years in acute care he qualified for his license as a Nursing Home Administrator from the Commonwealth of MA. Bob and his staff are committed to a team effort to provide the highest quality of care in a supportive environment for the residents of Glen Ridge.
 

Director of Social Services: Heather Spangler, LICSW

Heather Spangler, LICSW began working with the elderly while obtaining an undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire. As part of an introductory social work course, she volunteered at a local nursing care center and through this realized that she had a passion for assisting elders and their families as they faced the medical and social issues associated with aging. Heather went on to receive a Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College in 2001. Since receiving her MSW Heather has worked extensively in nursing care centers, overseeing rehabilitation, long term care, and specialized dementia care units. In her free time, Heather has volunteered for the Alzheimer's Association, acting first as a Helpline Volunteer and then serving on the annual Memory Walk Committee. Of note, Heather actually began her professional career at Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center as a student of intern in 2001 and then returned in 2005 when a position became available.
 

Director of Nursing Services: Christine Deschenes, RN

Christine has been at Glen Ridge since 1999 and has been in the Long Term Care field since 1990. She earned her nursing degree from Salem Hospital School of Nursing and a BA in Psychology/Business at Emmanuel College in 1993. She has been a Certified Director of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care since October 1997. Christine maintains all Federal/State and JCAHO regulations in the facility and has OBRA/MDS/MMQ and PPS knowledge and implementation
 

Rehabilitation Director: Kristin Vona, MS, CCC-SLP

Kristin has been at Glen Ridge since March 2006, first as a Speech-Language Pathologist, then in June 2006 took on the role of Rehab Director. She earned a BS in Communication Disorders at the University of NH in 1996. Kristin then earned an MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Emerson College in 2000. She has worked as an SLP in skilled nursing facilities and performed Videofluoroscopic Swallow Evaluations for 2 years. Kristin takes pride in her Rehab team and the work they perform to help people reach their greatest potential and return home to their community.
